MSP (Main Service Panel)

As a fully licensed C-10 electrical contractor, unlike other solar installers, because of our licensing and electrical experience we are able to perform a much wider range of electrical specialties such as a Main service panel change.

Why/when You Should Upgrade Your Electrical System

Many modern buildings will already have a sufficient electric panel to accommodate a solar installation, but there are many that won’t. This is especially true with older and more rural buildings, but only a detailed inspection of your property by a licensed electrician (from RW Solar & Electric, for example) will let you know if your present system is fully ready to integrate with solar power. To give you an Idea, here are a couple example of when you might need a panel change.

The First scenario in which you should consider upgrading your electrical panel is if you are looking to expand your electricity demand in your home. Some examples of this include getting a hot tub, installing an HVAC system, or installing a solar system on your roof. During these home improvement projects is a good time to visit upgrading your electrical panel both from an efficiency and safety perspective.

The Second is if you are experiencing electrical problems in your home. If you notice flickering lights or you have to turn off one appliance to use another, then the circuit breakers on the electrical panel could be overloaded. This will lead to your breakers tripping often or eventually failing to trip and overheating. This can cause irreversible electrical damage from wires melting and potentially catching fire on the side of your home.

Easy Retrofit To Any Solar Home

We’ve built a smart energy storage system that’s plug-and-play with any existing solar array. Our intelligent hybrid energy solar systems recognize what type of inverter the array is using and pairs with the system automatically. Retrofitting an existing array is as easy as running the AC and/or DC lines into the Humless Home System. There are so many different inverter and solar products on the market, creating a battery system that is efficient and reliable has traditionally required a skilled electrical engineer. Our new Home system takes the complexity out of energy storage. The Universal 10/4 is currently on manufacturing backorder for the next 8-10 weeks. Contact us today for more details.

The Universal 10/4 has 10 kWh of lithium battery storage (LiFePO4), a 4 kVA (3.8 kW) inverter, charge controller, battery management system and LCD screen system monitoring. This system has enough power to take a cabin completely off-grid or power a residential home. Stack the Universal 10/4 system up to 2 times for more power and battery storage for up to 8 kVa and 20 kWh of battery. The maximum solar PV (photovoltaic) input is 4000w.
